Nenad Krstic has been so-so for the Oklahoma City Thunder this season

Blogged under General, Steppin Up, Bloglockers, Front Page by alleyoop on Sunday 3 January 2010 at 9:45 am

Starting center Nenad Krstic has been decent for the Thunder this season. He has played in 31 games (all starts) for the Thunder this season and he is averaging 23.3 minutes, 8.5 points, 5.1 rebounds and 0.7 assists per game. Krstic is a average center who fits in well with the Thunder because he does the dirty work around the basket without demanding the ball on offense letting the young stars on the team put up the stats.

The Oklahoma City Thunder need to play Nick Collison more

Blogged under General, Steppin Up, Bloglockers, Front Page by alleyoop on Tuesday 29 December 2009 at 2:32 pm

The Thunder are a pretty soft basketball team and they could use a thumper like Collison on the court more. He has played in 26 games (1 start) this season for the Thunder and he is averaging 19.5 minutes, 5.7 points, 4.5 rebounds and 0.3 assists per game. I’m sure a lot of basketball teams would be very interested in Collison if the Thunder put him on the trade block but my advice to them would be to keep him and get him at least 10 more minutes per game.

James Harden is a top rookie for the Oklahoma City Thunder

Blogged under Steppin Up, Big Thunder News, NBA Blogs, Bloglockers, Rookie Reports by Andrew on Friday 11 December 2009 at 12:42 am

James Harden got off to a slow start for the Oklahoma City Thunder, despite being the number three pick in the NBA draft.  Harden has been coming into his own as of late though, and has scored in double figures 6 of last 9 games after failing to do so in his first 11 games.  Harden has a good knowledge of the game, especially for a rookie.  See where he ranks amongst the other rookies here at my list for the Top Rookies in the NBA so far.

Russell Westbrook is playing well again this season for the Oklahoma City Thunder

Blogged under General, Steppin Up, Bloglockers, Front Page by alleyoop on Wednesday 2 December 2009 at 8:09 pm

2nd year point guard Russell Westbrook is playing at a high level this season and he is a big reason why the team is playing so well this year. Westbrook has played in 17 games (all starts) this season for the Thunder and he is averaging 34.6 minutes, 16.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, 6.8 assists and 1.0 steal per game. The Thunder now have a trio of nice young players in Westbrook and forwards Kevin Durant and Jeff Green. If they can add a legit young center to the bunch in the near future they will be a team to reckon with in the Western Conference.

Jeff Green is off to a good start for the Oklahoma City Thunder

Blogged under General, Steppin Up, Bloglockers, Front Page by alleyoop on Tuesday 3 November 2009 at 10:37 pm

Starting power forward Jeff Green is really stuffing the stat sheet so far this season for the Thunder. Green has played in 3 games (all starts) so far this season and he is averaging 39.0 minutes, 19.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.0 blocked shot per game. Those numbers are all improvements on last season for Green so the Thunder hope he can keep up the good work.
