Ray Allen had another great year for the Seattle Supersonics

Ray Allen had an injury marred season, but when he played he was fantastic.  In 55 games last season, Allen averaged 40.3 minutes, 26.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.5 steals per game.  He also shot well as he hit 43.8% from the floor, 37.2% from the three-point line and 90.3% from the free-throw line.  Look for Allen to have one of the best seasons of his career in 2007-08 if he can stay healthy.

Allen added to his solid career totals last season.  In 790 career games, Allen has averaged 37.5 minutes, 21.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.3 steals per game.  His shooting percentages have remained solid as he’s hit 44.6% from the floor, 39.7% from three point range and 88.8% from the free throw line.

The centers are playing very well for the Seattle Supersonics down the stretch

Nick Collison and Johan Petro have played very well the last couple of weeks for the Sonics.  In his last 9 games, Collison has averaged 33.6 minutes, 12.1 points, 8.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game.  He’s also shot 54.9% from the floor in those games and is starting to show why the Sonics picked him in the first round a couple of years ago.  Petro has averaged 20.6 minutes in his last 9 games and he’s played well.  He averaged 6.9 points, 4.2 rebounds and 0.3 assists per game.

Nick Collison steppin’ up big time for the Sonics

Nick Collison has been flat out awesome lately.  In his last 5 games, Collison has averaged 39.0 minutes, 20.4 points, 14.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.0 blocks per game.  He also has hit an amazing 63.5% from the floor in those games.  If he keeps this up the Sonics will win alot of basketball games.

Earl Watson getting more PT

The Sonics have been going with a small lineup alot lately and have been trying to outrun teams.  That has benefitted Earl Watson as his playing time has increased lately.  In his last 8 games, Watson has averaged 31.4 minutes, 10.0 points, 2.8 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game during that stretch of games.  Earl is a good back-up point guard, but he’s been showing the ability to take on more responsibility in the offense for the Sonics.

Chris Wilcox playing well

The Sonics always liked how Chris Wilcox played in his limited minutes for the Clippers so they traded Vladimir Radmanovic to the Clippers for him at the trade deadline last season.  The Sonics immediately inserted Wilcox into the starting line-up and he has produced for them.  Wilcox is averaging 11.2 points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game so far this season.  He’s also shooting an outstanding 53.3% from the floor this year.
