They need him to pick up the pace though as he is now the #2 point guard behind Russell Westbrook due to Eric Maynor’s season ending injury. Jackson is only shooting 36% from the floor so far this year, but he should be able to improve on that due to getting more consistent minutes.

22-year old center Cole Aldrich bounced around between the D-League and the Thunder the whole year long, so he probably never got too comfortable. He played in 18 games (0 starts) for the Thunder this year and he averaged 7.9 minutes, 1.0 point, 1.9 rebounds and 0.2 assists per game. In all fairness to Aldrich, the Thunder never really gave Aldrich much of a chance to show what he can and can’t do. I think they are going to bring him along very slowly as Kendrick Perkins is the main man in the middle for now.

Aldrich has a nice upside but the Thunder don’t have room for him right now because they have a very deep and talented frontcourt ahead of him. Aldrich is just going to have to keep working hard and bide his time.

With that in mind, the Thunder have sent Aldrich to the D-League so that he could get some P.T.
