The Oklahoma City Thunder dispatch Cole Aldrich to the D-League

The Thunder have sent 22-year old rookie center Cole Aldrich to the D-League for the second time this year. Aldrich has played in 7 games (0 starts) for the Thunder so far this year and he is averaging 7.9 minutes, 1.0 point, 1.9 rebounds and 0.1 assists per game. This is a good move for the Thunder as Aldrich isn’t going to get any better sitting on the bench in Oklahoma. He is stuck behind Nenad Krstic, Serge Ibaka and Nick Collison on the Thunder’s depth chart at center.

The Thunder shot 54.9% from the floor as they rolled last night against the Nets. Kevin Durant led the way for the Thunder in this game with 27 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal. Russell Westbrook was also busy with 17 points, 4 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 steals last night. Nenad Kristic (10 points), Nick Collison (10 points) and James Harden (11 points) also pitched in for the Thunder offensively last night. The Thunder are now 22-11 on the year.

Nenad Krstic is starting to lose minutes for the Oklahoma City Thunder

27-year old center Nenad Krstic needs to pick up the pace or Serge Ibaka and Nick Collison are going to continue taking minutes from him. Krstic has played in 7 games this December so far and he is averaging 19.9 minutes, 8.3 points, 3.9 rebounds and 0.4 asssits per game on 51% shooting from the floor. Krstic has now played in 22 games (all starts) for the Thunder so far this year and he is averaging 23.8 minutes, 7.8 points, 4.7 rebounds and 0.4 assists per game.

Dallas Mavericks 103, Oklahoma City Thunder 93

The Thunder were outscored 24-12 in the 4th quarter and it did them in last night. Kevin Durant led the way for the Thunder in this game with 28 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocked shots. James Harden played 34 minutes in this game off the bench and he finished with 18 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. Russell Westbrook only shot 5 of 15 from the floor as he finished up with 15 points, 3 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 steals last night. Jeff Green pitched in with 12 points and 5 rebounds in this game. The Thunder are now 21-11 on the year.

Kevin Durant led the way last night with the superhuman effort as he finished up with 44 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocked shots.  James Harden also had a good game with 21 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal in 28 minutes off the bench.  Russell Westbrook pitched in with 19 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals.  The Thunder are now 21-10 on the season.
