The Thunder shot 50% from the floor tonight and that was good enough to get the win. Kevin Durant led the way for the Thunder last night with 27 points, 6 rebounds and 1 assist. Jeff Green also had a solid game with 19 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals. James Harden pitched in with 14 points, 3 rebounds and 8 assists in 26 minutes off the bench. The Thunder are now 13-12 on the year.

Oklahoma City Thunder 86, Dallas Mavericks 100

The new “Creamsicle” orange shoes were no help for Kevin Durant, who had one of his worst games of the year and the Oklahoma City Thunder (12-12) lost to the Dallas Mavericks (19-7) because of it.  Durant only hit 4-18 shots, finishing with 12 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists.  Nobody stepped up for the Thunder with Durant having an off night.  Russell Westbrook was the leading scorer for the Thunder with only 16 points on 6-19 shooting.  Jeff Green was one of the few to shoot the ball well, hitting 7-11 shots for 15 points.  They didn’t bring a strong enough effort defensively either, and Dirk Nowitzki killed them.  Nowitzki went off for 35 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block.  This was not a good effort by the Thunder.

The Oklahoma City Thunder need a little more offense out of Thabo Sefolosha

Blogged under General, Bloglockers, Need to step up, Front Page by alleyoop on Tuesday 15 December 2009 at 1:05 pm

Thabo Sefolosha is starting at shooting guard because of his defense but he needs to play a little better on offense to hold off rookie James Harden for the starting job. Sefolosha has played in 23 games (all starts) for the Thunder this season and he is averaging 32.0 minutes, 6.3 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.5 steals per game. He is only shooting 39.9% from the floor this season and that just isn’t good enough for a starting shooting guard in the NBA. The Thunder have been able to cover for his lack of offense due to the offensive play of Kevin Durant, Jeff Green and Russell Westbrook so far this year. Still, first round pick James Harden might force his way into the starting line-up at some point this season unless Sefolosha starts playing a little better offensively.

The Thunder only shot 39.2% from the floor last night and it was a big reason for the loss. Kevin Durant led the way for the Thunder last night with 32 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. Russell Westbrook only shot 5 of 15 from the floor last night and he finished with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Nick Collison pitched in with 14 points and 5 rebounds last night. The Thunder are now 12-11 on the year.

The Thunder laid an egg last night in the 4th quarter as the Cavs outscored them 24-13 and it caused them to lose the game. Kevin Durant led the way for the Thunder with 29 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 steals. Jeff Green also had a solid game with 26 points, 4 rebounds and 1 assist. Russell Westbrook only shot 4 of 15 from the floor but he still finished up with 10 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists. The Thunder are now 12-10 on the year.
