This was a outstanding win on the road for the young Oklahoma City Thunder. They outscored the Pistons 53-38 in the second half of the game and they held the Pistons to 37.1% shooting from the floor. Those were the two biggest reasons for the win last night. Kevin Durant was outstanding as usual as he finished with 25 points, 12 rebounds and 2 steals. Jeff Green was also effective with 16 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Nenad Krstic pitched in with 14 points and 5 rebounds against the Pistons. The Oklahoma City Thunder are now 2-0 on the season.

Nenad Krstic had one of his better games in the NBA with 20 points and 7 rebounds. This was a nice win to start the season for the Thunder who are 1-0 on the year.

The over/under for Oklahoma City Thunder wins in 2009-2010 is 33.5

The Oklahoma Thunder have been building the team through the NBA Draft. That means that they were “rebuilding” without wanting to use that word. The Thunder are getting closer to being a good basketball team but they don’t have the depth or center to compete in the Western Conference of the NBA. With that in mind I would take the under if I had to make a bet on them but they will come very close to the 34 wins to go over on the total.

Etan Thomas looked solid in the pre-season for the Oklahoma City Thunder

Etan Thomas has been solid this pre-season for the Thunder and he will likely share time at center this season with Nenad Krstic. Thomas played in 5 games (2 starts) for the Thunder this pre-season and he averaged 22.0 minutes, 8.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, 0.4 assists and 1.2 steals per game. Thomas also shot 58.3% which has excited the Thunder front office. Thomas will bring toughness to the paint for the Thunder.

The Oklahoma City Thunder release Michael Ruffin

The Thunder have released veteran power forward Michael Ruffin. Ruffin was too far down on the depth chart for the Thunder to consider keeping him on the roster. It’s a good sign for the Thunder that they won’t be keeping a guy with Ruffin’s credentials on the roster to start the season.
