The Supersonics came close but got no cigar in this game. Kevin Durant had an awful shooting night (7 for 21) but he still finished the game with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Jeff Green had one of his best games in the NBA with 19 points and 4 rebounds. Chris Wilcox finished up with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. The Sonics are now 0-6 on the season.
The Sonics have a problem with playing in the second half and it reared it’s ugly head again last night as they were outscored 38-24 in the third quarter and it cost them this game. Chris Wilcox had another good game with 21 points, 8 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocked shots. Damien Wilkins also had a solid game with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 2 blocked shots. Kevin Durant had his worst game of the season as he finished with 17 points and 2 rebounds despite only shooting 3 for 17 from the floor. The Sonics are now 0-5 on the season.
The Sonics were winning this game 61-48 at the half but they folded in the final two quarters as they were outscored 56-37, and it’s hard to win that way. Wally Szczerbiak led the way with a outstanding game as he finished with 32 points and 2 rebounds in only 31 minutes. Kevin Durant had another solid game with 27 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Nick Collison also turned in a decent game with 12 points and 7 rebounds. The Sonics are now 0-4 on the season.
The young Sonics were outscored 37-25 in the 4th quarter as they faded down the stretch in this game. Kevin Durant led the way with 24 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Damien Wilkins also had another great game with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Chris Wilcox also had another solid game with 17 points and 9 rebounds. The Supersonics are now 0-3 on the season.
The Sonics played hard last night but they seemed to be a little tired early in the 4th quarter after playing last night in Denver and it cost them in this game. Rookie Kevin Durant led the way for the Sonics with 27 points and 5 rebounds. Chris Wilcox also had an outstanding game as he scored 23 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, dished out 2 assists and stole the ball 3 times. Damien Wilkins also had a solid game with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. The Sonics are now 0-2 on the season.
